Green Papaya Curry Kerala Style
The Health Benefits of Green Papaya and a New Beaut Recipe to Showcase this Mighty Fruit
If you live in an area where green papaya is in season right now I suggest making the most of it as green papaya rocks not only in taste but in the nutrition and health benefits department.
My sister in law loves green papaya and unfortunately she doesn’t get it so much as she lives in Canberra. My sister in law grew up in Timor Leste knows all of the benefits of this mighty fruit. The smaller the green papaya the more bitter it is and the more healthful. Green papaya is great for helping with digestion, nausea when pregnant, it has high folate content which is great for pregnancy, has been found to help with menstruation pain, fabulous for skin health due to lots of Vitamin E, packed with potassium and vitamin C. So if you can find green papaya start including it in your diet. It is a fabulous food.

How are you all?
It is certainly a tough time for many right now and rather than the usual promotion of my cooking school that I do at the end of many of my newsletters I just thought to give that a miss this week and check in with you all. I really wonder how you are all doing. I hope you are well and life is not too disrupted or chaotic for you.
If you are struggling I can only recommend one thing really and that is to get in that kitchen, put on some inspiring music and get your cooking on. Cooking is life, we need to eat of course for optimum health and cooking can also be so creative. No matter what mood I am in as soon as I put on that apron I am in my happy place.
Happy cooking everyone and keep the requests for future recipes rolling in.
Have a great week
Love Veet
